Boy, 13, admits Christopher Barry party row murder

Christopher Barry, 53, was stabbed in the
chest at his home in The Broadway,
Edmonton on 14 December.
He had argued with a group of youths trying
to get into a party at a flat in the block where
he lived. He was followed into the building
and attacked, the Old Bailey heard.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal
reasons, will be sentenced on 10 April.
He was remanded in youth custody by judge
Anthony Morris.
Mr Barry, a builder who was known as Jack,
was pronounced dead at the scene by
paramedics.
Det Ch Insp Neale Baldock said at the time:
"The victim and this group were not known to
each other - what started as a minor verbal
altercation has escalated into a shocking act
of violence."
